Harbor Pilot’s Miami Roads was commissioned by the Biscayne Bay Harbor Pilots in 2002. This painting depicts a pilot being picked up by the pilot boat just before his charge sets off to sea, and shows just how dangerous the job of harbor pilot is. In the background a container ship awaits a pilot so it can enter port.
