Painting of the USS Boston (SSN-703)
The Seventh USS Boston: (SSN-703), was a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine, launched in 1980 and commissioned in 1982. A winner of numerous awards, the submarine may have fallen prey to Defense Budget cuts, and was taken apart in 1999, her sail and upper rudder preserved for display in Buffalo, New York.
